RURALITIC focuses on residential mobility as a key driver of territorial attractiveness, land-use dynamics, and housing pressures, with a particular emphasis on rural diversity and territorial inequalities. Addressing these issues requires not only high-quality data, but also analytical and visual tools capable of translating complex residential mobility information into insights that are usable by researchers, policymakers, and territorial practitioners. PopFlows was developed in response to these analytical and data-related limitations.
PopFlows is a European data platform designed to support the analysis of residential mobility across space and over time. Its primary objective is to provide a harmonised analytical infrastructure that enables systematic comparison of residential mobility dynamics across European territories.
